The school provides a caring and stimulating environment for students to experience an education that meets international standards. The student population almost 700 students consists of local and expatriate children. In July 2005, Sekolah Tunas Muda opened the Meruya School, catering for children from 1 to 18 years old. Sekolah Tunas Muda is a bilingual school, with English and Indonesian as the languages of instruction. Mandarin is also offered as a foreign language. Sekolah Tunas Muda implements the three programmes of international education from the International Baccalaureate Organization. These are the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). The IBO programmes are recognized by prestigious schools and universities worldwide. Sekolah Tunas Muda retains its identity as a national school by carefully integrating the national curriculum within the framework of the IBO programmes.
